The Panavia Tornado entered service in the late 1970s as a multi-role attack aircraft, replacing various types of planes. Its unusual swing-wing configuration allowed for efficient performance and maneuverability at both low and high speeds, and the Tornado excelled at fast, low-level flying - characteristics that enabled it to undertake unique missions, particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan. In tribute, our Tornado desk sculpture is cast in solid aluminum and polished to a high sheen, allowing its subtle curves and angles to catch the light.
